Choosing Marc & Mindy as our wedding photographers was one of the best decisions we made throughout our wedding planning process. From our very first call, Marc and Mindy listened to exactly what we wanted and made us feel like we were their only couple. Mindy is incredibly organized. She walked us through filling out surveys and questionnaires to ensure she understood what we wanted, setting up our day of timeline, and creating a detailed shot list. All of this helped our day run so smoothly. Both Marc and Mindy made us feel so comfortable when taking pictures, from our engagement session to the day of our wedding. Our families felt at ease while taking photos, and our wedding party had a great time posing for photos. After making sure the entire process of photographing our wedding was enjoyable, Marc & Mindy then delivered wedding photos that are absolutely stunning. They captured every shot we wanted and then some, allowing us to look back and happily relive our wedding day whenever we look at the photos. Mindy was incredibly patient while helping me design my wedding album, too. Through each round of revisions, she was able to make all of my requests happen, and our wedding album is truly more perfect than we could have imagined. Using Marc and Mindy for our wedding photographers was the best decision we made! They took the time to meet with my husband and I, and really got to know us and what we wanted for our wedding. Mindy beautifully navigated the task of directing our large families for portraits, it was a seamless process! Everyone felt confident and comfortable in front of the camera, us included! From our first conversation with Marc & Mindy, we knew they were the wedding photographers for us. At each stage of the planning process, they were there to make sure we were ready and excited! On the day of our wedding, they guided us effortlessly through all the craziness. We loved working with Marc and Mindy. Being in front of the camera is not easy for us and they made us feel very comfortable. In addition, our pictures came out beautiful. We have received lots of praise on how nice they came out. Our venue had a lot of architecture that could have made cool photos and I would have liked to do those pics. However, I realize we were running out of time and guests started showing up. Overall, we highly recommend Marc and Mindy. They are the best!

Marc and Mindy were absolutely the best team to work with. So easy going. The communication they had throughout the year long wait from our engagement to wedding was so helpful. Being the busy farmers that we are having that extra reminder was so helpful. Our engagement session was a blast to take these two love birds to our dairy farm and give them a tour of the cows and farm land. They got right in there and weren’t afraid to take on a new environment. Lol our wedding day was such a picture perfect day. Mindy’s eye to catch the perfect natural lighting was definitely seen in the pictures. Absolutely spot on. How they both captured precious moments amongst the many family and friends on our day was fabulous. Definitely recommend this team.

We hired Marc and Mindy for our wedding photography and could not have been more pleased! We were originally supposed to get married in August 2020 but postponed due to covid. Marc and Mindy were amazing throughout the entire rescheduling process, and I never felt stressed when navigating postponing with them. From our first initial consult to delivering our photos, Mindy was easy to communicate with and extremely organized. She was able to direct our large 23 person bridal party easily and made adjustments throughout the day to make everything run smoothly. Even with a thunderstorm right before our ceremony, Mindy and Marc were cool, calm, and collected, and I really felt like I could trust them to make sure everything went ok. Our pictures turned out amazing, and so many friends and family have commented on how good of job Marc and Mindy did. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone! I'm so happy we chose Marc and Mindy to photograph our wedding :).

From our initial contact to our wedding day photos, everything with Marc & Mindy was very easy, thorough, and professional. We had a small wedding so we only worked with Mindy. We were very impressed by her organization and her genuine desire to get to know us prior to our wedding day so she could capture not just beautiful photos, but photos that represented us. She even went above and beyond when I had to scramble to look for a new make up artist, I emailed her and within a few hours I had a list of 10 people to contact. She created a very detailed timeline for our "tour of Chicago" photos that was very helpful in keeping us on time and was willing to go the distance for the perfect shot. We loved working with Mindy, she made us feel very comfortable throughout the day and got two camera shy people to enjoy getting their picture taken! We're very excited to see the final photos and based on our sneak peak, we know they're going to be great, as with just a few pictures we can see Mindy's talent with light and for capturing special moments shine through.

Marc & Mindy did such an incredible job photographing our wedding! My husband and I would absolutely recommend them for capturing your special day. I learned about Marc and Mindy’s services when I requested a preferred vendor list from my venue, the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium. They are a married couple team from outside of Chicago, IL who travel back to Dubuque where they have family at no expense to capture weddings. My now husband and I actually went to Chicago for our engagement pictures and the weather was terrible! It was freezing, WINDY, and raining/sleeting. It felt like pelts of glass hitting you in the face. Mindy suggested finding somewhere inside for pictures, but I was set on having pictures on the beach since our wedding was going to be beach themed. She didn’t complain once! She went with the flow and made the best of it, even though she didn’t recommend it. What I thought was going to be a total loss and waste of time (per my own fault), we got a handful of great pictures from! I was so surprised. Mindy even loaned me her lens wipe to clean off the rain/sleet from my glasses. We love Mindy and she is great with working with you to get you familiar with the camera for the big day. Fast forward 1 year and here comes the wedding day on 10/10/2020. They sent a gift card to use the week prior for a date to destress from wedding stuff which was so sweet. Their work was amazing! The pictures are very high quality and you can tell they take pride in what they do. The only thing I found was that their prices are on the higher end of the market in Dubuque are, but they are also trying to keep up with the market in Chicago area where they are based.

I mean, talk about a vendor that listens intently, truly cares, and proves their talent. Marc and Mindy were great to work with from start to finish. We initially chose the duo because we loved their bright, clean, timeless and classic portfolio. When determining what we envisioned for our wedding photos, we wanted clean and timeless versus trendy editing. Clean and timeless are exactly what we got!! Mindy is very organized and she helped coordinate the big day with the other vendors, which was extremely helpful in the week leading up to the wedding. At one point the day before the wedding, I realized I had not yet touched base with the videographer during wedding week - putting me into panic mode. When I reached out to him he let me know Mindy had already coordinated the entire day with him from addresses, to timing, etc. I cannot describe how much of a relief that was as a bride. Marc and Mindy truly have a great eye - some of our favorites are the candid, fun photos as well as the intimate shots of my husband and me. Another perk of hiring Marc and Mindy (which I understand is not applicable to all wedding ceremonies) is they are very familiar with the Catholic Mass. This was important for us to make sure our photographers were familiar with the order of events and photography "rules" during a Mass. We are very happy with our wedding photos as well as the their intangible qualities such as organization and helpfulness. Thank you, Marc and Mindy!

Marc & Mindy were incredibly friendly and flexible to work with our schedules and our big day! They did such a wonderful job capturing the best of our engagement pictures and our wedding pictures. With 2 professional photographers, they were able to take both great looking posed pictures as well as candid pictures. One of the best resources they provided was ample notifications and what to expect before each session and communicating very well about what we should do to prepare.

We used Marc & Mindy for our engagement shoot and LOVED them! We are having an out-of-town wedding and really wanted a local photographer, but if we were getting married in the Chicago area, there would be no hesitation about using them for the wedding as well. They were both extremely professional, organized, and fun to work with. We also are very, very happy with how all of the pictures turned out!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Marc and Mindy! They were my best friend's engagement and wedding photographers and after seeing their pictures I knew I had found our photographers! Marc and Mindy have been absolutely fantastic to work with and were extremely accommodating. Our wedding was impacted by COVID-19 and we went from over 250 guests to just 20; but Marc and Mindy made the trek to Michigan just for us anyway. They scouted out the area and even reached out to other photographers in the area to find the perfect spot for our first look. I cannot speak more highly of Marc and Mindy and their photography services! I felt a lot of stress about picking a wedding photographer, as photos are one of the few tangible memories you walk away from your wedding with. After finding Marc and Mindy, seeing their portfolio, and talking with Mindy, I knew they were the ones I wanted to capture our day. I don’t live locally, so Mindy was even so kind as to meet with my mom to talk about their services and show her options for the post-wedding album that they will put together for us. Unfortunately, our wedding was impacted by COVID-19 and our plans wedding changed greatly, but Marc and Mindy were so supportive throughout the process and made the plan alterations absolutely seamless. Mindy focuses not only on the photography aspect, but the day as a whole, too. She communicates with all the vendors, makes sure the wedding party is ready on time, helps shuttle flowers, etc. Our pictures from “Part 1” turned out better than I could have imagined and we can’t wait to use Marc and Mindy again for “Part 2” post-COVID!

Stop scrolling through reviews and hire Marc and Mindy. We have nothing but great things to say about Marc and Mindy. During the pandemic we had to reschedule our large wedding to 2021, but we decided to do an intimate legal ceremony this year in a different location. From the initial call with Mindy, we knew this was the person we wanted to be there during the pandemic. Mindy was very understanding of all of the things we had going on and the difficulties we were facing nailing down details. Mindy was understanding and flexible to all things that kept changing. The day of - Mindy was fantastic! She blended perfectly into the background, which is a feat given there were only 9 people at our ceremony! She captured all of our “must have” shots without having us only focus on taking photos. Mindy made us feel extremely comfortable even though neither of us had ever met her in person. The photographs we were received were great! The candid photographs taken are our favorites! Mindy captured the small in between moments that are so often missed. The photos are light and airy and just the style we love. Photography for our small ceremony was the only thing not stressful about getting married during the pandemic. We would definitely work with Marc and Mindy in the future.

Hiring Marc & Mindy was the best decision I made when planning my wedding! To start with they are incredibly professional and nice! They took the time to get to know us and know what kind of pictures do we want exactly. I was a bit late on the wedding day and Mindy made me much calmer while managing to get all the pictures I wanted with the time we had left! My husband also had a ton of great pictures getting ready with Marc’s help. They truly helped make the day run as smoothly as possible plus we had so much fun with them on the photoshoot. Marc and Mindy were phenomenal to work with. My husband and I planned our wedding from a different state so we didn't meet them before the wedding, yet we could not have felt more comfortable with them on our big day. They organized everything wonderfully and made picture-taking very easy for our group. I have to say that my wife is fully responsible for booking Marc and Mindy and I'm glad she did. We initially had Mindy take some engagement photos. It was a cold and rainy day, but Mindy made the best of it and the pictures looked great. She even took photos of our 12-year-old lab. I have taken thousands of pictures of her over the years. As soon as I pull my camera out she puts her head down. I guess she is a little camera shy, but Mindy capture several wonderful photos of her. I too am a little uncomfortable getting my picture taken, but Marc and Mindy put me at ease. They both had a way of posing us to make the most of each picture. They also took many live action shots, which caught many of the intimate and personal moments of our wedding. I was initially uncomfortable with the price of photographers, but after see the quality and unexpected quantity of photos it was worth the money. The wedding day was such a whirlwind that it was had to take it all in. Luckily, Marc and Mindy seemed to capture every moment of the day and my wife and I will always be able to relive our wedding through their photographs.

Mindy and Marc are PHENOMENAL! Mindy photographed our engagement session last September, and Mindy and Marc photographed our wedding on September 14th. I couldn't have asked for better photographers. Very sweet, caring, and made everyone feel so comfortable. Mindy always made sure to follow up before to make sure that everything would go as smooth as possible. I had the pleasure of getting to meet Mindy and Marc when we hired them to be our wedding photographer. Looking around for a wedding photographer can be an extremely stressful ordeal. When I saw Mindy and Marc’s portfolio I knew instantly they were who we needed to capture our wedding day. Their style is timeless and elegant. They were the most beautiful photos I had seen after searching endlessly for weeks. When the day came, I was nervous. Mindy and Marc are phenomenal photographers! They were so helpful through the whole process! Mindy made us so comfortable during our engagement session which helped us tremendously during our wedding photos. On our wedding day, Mindy helped coordinate with other vendors to make sure that we got the pictures we wanted. She helped us make the decision to do a first look (our wedding was in the evening in November with minimal light) and I do not regret it one bit! Mindy is one of a kind photographer. She really loves what she does, and it shows through her work. From speaking over the phone about my husbands and my story to sending out forms to fill out to organize our day, Mindy thought of everything! She takes her time editing the pictures and the outcome is amazing! I have decorated my walls with her pictures and they all turned out beautifully no matter the size. I’ve made canvases, metal prints, wedding album and framed work. When I had questions even after our wedding about how to print, she helped me along the way. My daughters wedding was 10/20/18 and we have only seen a few pictures. I wanted some for gifts at Christmas time but Mindy said she was behind. So 3 months later still nothing!!! She just keeps putting us off!!! The few proofs we have seen look awesome.

Where do we even start with this review! Mindy is the best wedding photographer ever😊. For our July 2018 wedding we had booked for 2 photographers – her and her husband. From the first phone conversation with Mindy I knew she was the right person to capture all our special moments at our wedding. She was genuinely interested in getting to know our story and vision for the wedding. As I continued working with her I soon found out this genuine person was REAL and had so much fun working with her throughout the wedding planning process. She was available to answer questions and takes AMAZING photos! In addition, she not only helped us with the overall wedding timeline, but also made us feel even more excited and special leading up to the wedding – with the gift in the mail and call-outs on her facebook page! Everyone in our bridal party kept complementing how nice she and her husband were and how excited they both were to be there with us celebrating and capturing our wedding – truly genuine! I would highly recommend booking Mindy for your wedding not only because she is a great photographer, but also because she and her husband are genuine people and make the wedding and days leading up to it that much more special.

They were so professional, kind, and extremely helpful throughout the entire process! One of the best part was that during our reception, Mindy and Marc had a laptop set up where you could preview some of the photos taken that day! After reading all of the reviews, we were very excited to work with Mindy. She seemed to be very on top of her game and promised a high level of service and communication. After we signed our contract, we had a difficult time communicating with Mindy. We did our engagement shoot and Mindy set the turn around time for 2-3 weeks. We waited 4 weeks for our photos with little communication regarding the timeline. After waiting for 4 weeks, we were so excited to get our photos, only to be disappointed by the lack of attention to detail. My fiance's suit was bunched up, the angles were unflattering, and we got photos with our eyes closed! To go through the entire process and only have two usable photos is very frustrating and expensive. Needless to say, we have had to terminate our contract and begin the process all over again.

Mindy was probably the best choice we made in our wedding vendors! We used her for the engagement photos and during the wedding. I hate having my picture taken and feel so awkward posing, but Mindy helped us pose and made everything feel and look so comfortable which is exactly what we needed! She was so organized and helped keep everything on schedule. We also went out during our cocktail hour to take sunset pictures which was great for lighting and also wonderful to have some quiet time we could spend together. Her husband Marc was the second shooter which was excellent since they have great communication and also to help in the coordination. I would 100% recommend Mindy for anyone looking for not only an amazing photographer, but also someone who makes the entire experience so easy and enjoyable!

When I was planning my very diy wedding there was one thing that I would not compromise on: the wedding photos. I looked around and ended up getting in touch with Mindy and Marc. I do not exaggerate when I say that was the best possible decision I could have ever made. Mindy is professional, kind and so passionate about her work. From the moment we started talking about working with her she had us filling out questionnaires to get to know us and our personal style to really make our pictures what we wanted. The time and effort she puts into each couple is remarkable. During the wedding day, Mindy really stepped in with Marc to help coordinate everything and make our day run so smooth. I never once was worried about what we were doing or awkwardness during pictures because everything was made to be so natural and fun. They really captured our personalities in their shots. Mindy was especially good about making sure our daughter had her time to shine as well. When we got our photos back I was shocked to see how many we had and that they were all SO beautiful. They invoked tears from friends and family, from some who hadn’t even attended the wedding. There is no other choice but these two if you are looking for someone to capture such a huge moment in your life. My high expectations were more than met. Thank you guys again!

MLP captured our wedding day in May 2018, and we cannot say enough good things about Mindy and her husband Marc. From the moment we met Mindy it was like working with a friend. I'd without a doubt consider myself "type A" , though come wedding day I knew Mindy was going to take care of everything and all I had to do was enjoy my wedding day. She was always willing to answer any questions that I thought of, and was always so incredibly sweet and kind. We hired Mindy for our 05/19/2018 wedding and could not have been happier with our decision! Mindy and her husband Marc (her second shooter) were so professional and organized through the whole process. Mindy was always responsive and giving of her time leading up to the day. The day of the wedding she did a great job being assertive enough to get all the shots we wanted and more but was never pushy or flustered. she does a great job making you feel comfortable and helping you to pose in ways that are most flattering for you. The easiest decision of our wedding was made when we came across Mindy's website. Their passion, enthusiasm and absolutely stunning photos made the decision a simple one. Knowing that Mindy and Marc taking so much care documenting our wedding day in the amazing way they do really took the pressure off. If I could give Mindy 100 stars, I would. Hands down the best vendor, photographer, and easiest choice for our wedding! Mindy is absolutely incredible and has such a good eye for capturing every great moment. So down to earth and so much fun to work with, made us feel very comfortable. The best part about her is that she treats this like such a special experience, rather than a business transaction, like some other photographers we had met with prior. This will be the best vendor you choose hands down and could not be more pleased with how all of our pictures turned out and how comfortable she made us feel!

Hiring your wedding photographer is no easy task! Mindy put up with a lot of back and forth from myself & my fiance. She answered phone calls & set up meetings, even an in person meeting - before we event booked her! Ultimately her level of experience, detail, her easygoing personality, and the many options we had for wedding photography are what led us to booking her. A few weeks ago we had our engagement photo session with Mindy and it went so smoothly. Leading up to the session, she sent multiple emails to make sure we were well prepared. Then, the day of, the weather didn't quite cooperate - Mindy was on top of it and picked a location that we absolutely LOVED! She explained everything for us so we were able to be natural in front of the camera. I would highly recommend Mindy and her services to any couple looking for a wedding photographer!

Mindy was absolutely amazing! She was professional and still fun, very easy to get along with! She had great insight and gave direction when photographing. We ended up switching up our schedule a little bit and she had no problem going with the flow. We absolutely loved our photos!

Mindy & Marc were excellent! They were very relaxed, easy going, and professional. I'm still amazed by the quality of the photos from our wedding, and the variety. The more candid photos have always been my preferred photo style, and they did a great job capturing the happiness of the day and everyone's personalities in both candid and more posed shots. I was also amazed at how reasonably priced their services were compared to other wedding photographers in the area (especially given the quality!) and I always recommend to anyone in the area who is seeking a photographer. The best thing I did when I planned my wedding was hiring Mindy to be our photographer. I couldn't have asked for better pictures of one of the best days of my life. She is easy going, yet worked diligently to get our large wedding party from Point A to Point B to Point C. (Which, btw, you will definitely need that person to keep things moving to keep up with the timely itinerary!) She is professional, trustworthy, and will make sure that you have every single picture you want of your special day. Since our engagement photos and wedding, she has since became a friend of ours and we have had Mindy do our maternity pictures and pictures of our baby girl. We are blessed to have come across such an amazing photographer and she will continue to capture pictures of our family as it groes!

Mindy & Marc were great to work with! I researched a LOT of photographers and knew immediately during our first Skype session I wanted her to capture our special day. Mindy made us feel comfortable and was so much fun to work with. She was extremely organized and I loved her communication. Mindy and Marc the best! They feel more like family than just your photographers by the end. Mindy takes the time to really get to know you and it shows in the finished product! From a personalized engagement session to her help getting ready for the big day she was great throughout the whole experience. Having Marc there to capture different moments and angles was awesome and the guys loved hanging out with him before the ceremony. We LOVE our wedding photos and can’t thank them enough for being there to capture our day!

Mindy and Marc are so amazing to work with. From the minute my husband and I spoke with Mindy on the phone, we knew she was special. She made us feel like she genuinely cared about us as people and that our engagement was the greatest news she had ever heard (even though she had never met us!) We also loved our Facebook cooking video! We couldn't wait to see what this team would come up for us, and we enjoyed sharing the video with our family and friends. The reason we gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because a few important photos that we requested were never taken. I'm not sure if it was due to timing or just that they simply got forgotten about but none the less they weren't captured. I'm still a little disappointed about this especially because they meant so much to me. I guess you expect your photographer to just have everything down and when something gets missed it's heartbreaking.

AMAZING! We hired Mindy from Mindy Leigh Photography to photograph our wedding on 7/25/15, at our childhood church in Glenview, IL and reception at North Shore CC What an amazing job she did! She was very down to earth, personable, and laid back. I really think her personality and photography style is the reason why my wedding photos came out so great! You will not regret hiring MLP photography to capture day! I definitely recommend Mindy if you want special pictures to last you a lifetime.
